Up for sale is 1/2 pound of quahog shell pieces from the waters of Narragansett Bay.  The word "Wampum" comes from the Narragansett Indian word for "white shell bead".  All of these shells have the deep purple and the variegation to make a beautiful pieces of jewelry. These have not been exposed to heat which would make the shell brittle. You will get pound of quality pieces, no white pieces, I show you all the pieces laid out so you know the quality of my shell pieces.  Buy from an established, trusted wampum seller/artist.
