    Description

    This auction is for 12 Civil War Minie Balls - Dug bullets and one artillery fuse. These items were found/dug by my father on one of his many excursion to Eastern North Carolina to metal detect for civil war artifacts in the 1970's and early 1980's. The bullets are in good condition. They have some surface dirt and scratches/nicks. One is smashed at the top. The fuse seems to be in good condition.

    My father was an avid historian. He would study history books and maps to determine the location of battles and skirmishes in Eastern North Carolina. These items were found/dug on one of his many excursions. I do not know the exact location because my father did not keep detail records of his finds. I know he searched for items from Smithfield to Goldsboro to Kinston to New Bern to Morehead City and all areas in between.
    I am selling these for my mom who has come to live with us due to the onset of dementia. All proceeds go to her for her use and care.
