Description
One of the earliest British made solid body electric guitars was this 1958 (serial # edge of headstock 827) set neck Broadway electric guitar, made at the Stuart Darkins factory and marketed by "Bell Musical Instruments". This has its original Henry Weill pickups and they are really good pickups(bar magnet in center of windings similar to the Dearmond stratotone pickup or the Kay pancake pickup, but with more output. Original pots are a little scratchy. Both volumes and both tones work. Neck is chunky and has its original frets and they have life. . Very historically interesting guitar, and probably among the first handful of solid body British electric guitars that were made. It has its original teardrop case. Very soon Fenton Weill, Vox, Hohner, and other British music companies followed suit and used the Henry Weill electronics and marketed their solid body instruments. Shipping in the US is
