    Description

    Original 1979 Fender Stratocaster-
One-owner vintage guitar (I'm selling on behalf of original owner)
Original finish; 3-Tone Sunburst over Ash wood body
Rosewood fretboard; White Pearloid dot markers
Original single coil pickups and electronics (5-way pickup switch)
Original hard case included (original hang tag, bridge cover, tremolo arm, and key included too)
Weight is 10 lbs, 4 oz
The finish is original and has marks all over from play as you would expect on a 42 year old instrument. The clear coat has worn away in places on the back of the body and on the back of the neck in places as you can see in the photos (please see all 12). There are some numbers and initials etched on the neck plate, but it is not super noticeable in my opinion.
Frets are original and do not appear to have ever been resurfaced and there are some wear grooves, mostly on the first few frets from chord play. It is set up with moderate action with a set of 10's and I did not find any "dead spots" or "fret buzz" issues. The frets are super clean which make bends / vibrato effortless and it is a very nice playing old Strat.
The electronics are original and the pots & pickups have the correct 1979 date codes. The pickguard still retains the original serial number decal which matches the headstock serial number.
The original case is included and has some marks on the outside from use. No cracks in the hard shell and none of the "feet" are damaged or missing. The latches all function properly, it is lockable, and the key is included. The original hang tag, tremolo arm, and bridge cover shown in the case are included.
Any questions let me know. Will ship via FedEx with insurance included.
Only 12 photos per eBay listing but I have more I can send upon request.
