    Description

This horse hoof or bear claw clam shell is from the Kwajalein Atoll which is part of the Republic of the Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean. In the late 1970's a member of my family spent time at the U.S. military facilities at Kwajalein Island.
The shell was collected at that time and shipped back to United States.
Since then it has been stored in a smoke-free environment.
The size of the clam shell is approximately
    5
    inches across.
The weight of the clam shell is approximately 8 ounces.
Condition - the shell appears to be a "beach find" so there may be conditions issues including faded color, edge chips and other imperfections.
The color of the shell is variable.
Nothing has been done to enhance the condition of the shell.
Please review the photographs with this listing to assess the condition of the shell before purchasing.
Let me know if you have any questions.
