    Description

This replica is of the WWII Monument to Russian Soldiers that sits at the base of Mamayev Hill in Stalingrad.
Mamayev Kurgan is a dominant height overlooking the city of Volgograd in Southern Russia. The name in Russian means "tumulus of Mamai".
The Hill is dominated by a memorial complex commemorating the Battle of Stalingrad and includes the Mother Russia Statue and Eternal Flame that I am also selling.
It is a classic Soviet heroic art piece that is epically exaggerated and romantically embellished.
The same is true of all the other monuments on this sacred hill that has been infused with all the suffering and angst of the public psyche cause by the Nazi siege of Stalingrad.
This circa 1950 replica is really well done and still has its original, oh so Soviet, repurposed naugahyde finished bottom.
It measures 4.5” wide by 4” deep by 6” tall.
