    Description

We are working as partners in conjunction with Gettysburg Relics to offer some very nice American Civil War relics for sale.
THE SEVEN DAYS BATTLES - The William Reger Collection - A very nice example of a Confederate English Import .577 Caliber Enfield-Pritchett Bullet. We do believe we see a 57 base mark, but it is difficult to see very clearly. It can be felt with a pin.

This relic was recovered at the site of one of the Seven Days Battles. It was in a large Pennsylvania collection of William Reger who carefully identified the relics that he found in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. The 1862 Seven Days Battles marked the rise of Confederate General Robert E. Lee to prominence as his aggressive attacks against the forces of George McClellan, despite the fact that the Confederate Army was outnumbered, saved Richmond. The photographed tag is the original type-writer typed tag that Reger made for this grouping, and is not included, however a letter will be included containing the specific provenance information.
