Case includes one .44 Caliber Colt bullet and one .58 Caliber Minie in a 8 x 6" matted glass display case.
Case states, "On January 6, 1861 Ft. Barrancas was constructed on an earthen hill guarding the entrance of Pensacola Bay and manned by a company of 50 U.S. Army troops. With 44 seacoast guns and 20,244 pounds of gunpowder, it was attacked by state militia on January 6. This attack was repulsed and after spiking the guns, the company of soldiers moved across the Bay of Fort Pickens. The Confederates abandoned Fort Barrancas in May 1862 after the Union Army captured New Orleans."
