    This Listing:
    Civil War, Sharps Cartridge
This is a Genuine Civil War (dug up) Union Army Sharps misfired .52 cal Cartridge. The fired cartridge was found at the Ft. Sedgwick battlefield (1860's).
During the very early Indian battles, Ft. Sedgwick (Fort depicted in the movie - Dances with Wolves) had up to 700 men there trying to help protect the South Platte stage coach line & western frontier to Denver and attacks from Indians.
This item was dug up, and is hard to find. Lead on the one cartidge is as was found. The cartidge misfired in the carbine, and manually removed. It appears to be a Sharps bullet, but unable to verify without removing the catridge from it.
The item was found on private property, with the permission of the owners. Site is now closed to anyone.
This item has passed our meticulous quality checks and are guaranteed to be in great condition.
Rated from Very Good +, to near-New.
