#2-Bullet in wood of the Civil War .36 caliber?Found on a hill in 2004, Chickamauga battlefield, approximately 1 inch wide by 3 inches long.

This is the real deal, an authentic Civil War bullet in a piece of wood from the tree it had been shot into during the battle of Chickamauga. This was a few feet from a stump that was about all decayed away. I found it myself in 2004 on a rocky hill on land that joins the Chickamauga Battlefield along with several drops and shot bullets. Lots of action happened on this land also on the days before the main battle and during the battle. All that was left of the tree was a bit of stump/roots. 1.5" x 4.5"
#4-
This is a Williams Cleaner Bullet in Wood that was dug in Peters burg Virginia.
#5-Civil War dug bullet in wood. The exposed portion of the bullet does have some conical shape to it but I can't say for sure if this bullet is a mini ball or round ball. The stand alone weight of the wood is 28.5 g. The wood itself was clear coated many years ago and the wood is very stable in all regards. This bullet in wood was dug many years ago near the cold Harbor, Virginia battlefield."

At age 70 the grand kids have told me that they have no interest in any of the collections in the family’s traveling museum-- MOCAPA. A bit disappointing to hear but well understood in the 21st century. Plus, for me, collecting lacks the attraction that it had in years past as well as the steward collectors. Thanks, joe
