Description
Up for auction are 2 dug/excavated Civil War relics. The first is a fully intact .32 cal "Army" Smith & Wesson cartridge that was used in privately purchased model 1861 Smith & Wesson revolver pistols. This type of pistol was a favorite among Union Officers. This type of cartridge is extremely rare and you will likely never see another one for sale. I originally purchased it from "Army of Tennessee Relics" shop (Nick Periut), and the provenance is that it was dug in Eastport, Mississippi in a General William Tecumseh Sherman Cavalry camp. The 2nd bullet is a .36 cal round ball that was used in navy revolvers like the Colt model 1851. This auction is for shipping to the lower 48 states USA only please.
