Egyptian Queen Nefertiti Vintage Bronze Bookend Souvenir Building

Description

Nefertiti was a queen of Egypt and wife of King Akhenaton.
Nefertiti is best known for her painted sandstone bust, which was rediscovered in 1913 and became a global icon of feminine beauty and power.
I believe this single bookend is from the 1920’s or 30’s and was part of the Egyptian revival in decorating that was so popular at that time.
The base is a wonderful honey and cream colored alabaster and the Queen is solid bronze as is the portal or pylon of Isis framing her from behind.
It measures 6.25” wide X 4.5” deep X 5.75” tall.
