    Description

We are working as partners in conjunction with Gettysburg Relics to offer some very nice American Civil War relics for sale.
    THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG -
FOUND ALONG EMMITSBURG ROAD / FROM THE ESTATE OF A NY CIVIL WAR VETERAN - A dropped .577 Caliber 3-Ring Bullet
A dropped .577 Caliber 3-Ring Bullet that was acquired from a New York estate connected to Civil War soldier Ambrose Sayles of the 16th New York Volunteer Infantry and the 121st New York Volunteer Infantry.  These relics were in a small box with other relics that was labeled simply “Emmitsburg Road 1932.”  Clearly, this is a reference to the Emmitsburg Road on the Gettysburg Battlefield, but Sayles died in 1917, so the relics must have been picked up by a family member. A provenance letter will be included.
