1983 Gibson ES-335 - it’s a beauty!
Sad to see this one go, but we’ve recently welcomed a new baby into our lives, so I have less time for my hobbies and frankly could do with the cash.
My loss is your gain.
All original save for recent (July 2022) refret, installed by the highly revered luthiers at Southeast Guitar Repair (these guys were the Allman brothers luthier of choice). See last pic for the receipt of work done.
Comes with the original, and highly sought after Tim Shaw pickups.
Great neck, nice and chunky not slim you you'd normally
find - roughly 0.83" at the 1st fret, 0.96" at the 12th.
Fretwork is amazing - you'll get another 40 years out of
these if you're not taking this baby on your, fretboard is
beautifully dark and rich in color.
Some buckle rash on the back, tarnishing on hardware,
otherwise really great shape.
Sounds really big and full, very resonant body - you feel it on your stomach for sure… my luthier upon handing
it back to me said "it sustains for days... it's like it has a
compressor built in!"
And he's not wrong.
