    Description

For sale is a souvenir building replica of the Hoover (Boulder) Dam, as engraved on the top front edge.
The dam was originally known as the Boulder Dam from 1933.  It was officially renamed the Hoover Dam for President Herbert Hoover by a joint resolution of Congress in 1947.
Note: this is 1 of 4 replicas of the dam being listed and may be the most difficult to find as it identifies BOTH names of the famous dam.
It is in good condition with appropriate wear given signs it was in fact used as an ashtray at some point in its history.
There is some finish loss as well -- the photo of the back of the dam makes the finish loss appear worse than it really is.
Nonetheless, this is one of the rarer versions of the dam for the reason noted above.
    It is
    not
    shown in either
    Monumental Miniatures
    or
    Replica Buildings: A Visual History
    .
    It measures 3 3/4" W x 5" D x 2 1/2" H.
On both sides of the dam at the rear are engraved power lines to symbolize the dam's production of electricity for the region.
Shipping includes insurance and signature tracking (to minimize the
    possibility
    of loss to 'porch pirates').
