Your buying all of the relics shown in the pics . Top left recovered in Xexox Va near the Potomic River in 1986 , Bottom left recovered at Elija Whites home in 1986 , RH side Winchester Va between Rt 7 & Rt 51 in 1987

Relic hunting locations often have been used for other purposes over the years and sometimes yield post civil war items such as coins or other unknowns . The lots I have listed are anything Mr Hammond deemed interesting & wanted to save . I left items in the lots same as I bought them that may be post civil war . These items not only preserve the history of the past , but the legacy of relic hunting that was so closely affiliated with who Mr Hammond was. These relics all came directly from the immense Civil War collection of the late Mr. Richard (Dick) Hammond of Virginia . The collection was sold in Gettysburg Pa in January 2024 . Mr. Hammond was one of the lucky relic hunters who was fortunate enough to have been able to hunt back in the 1950's . The highlights of his collection were recently published in a most impressive 400 page hardback book titled "The Hammond Civil War Collection" which is a well worth purchase and is available on line. Most of the dug relics were sold in boxes labeled with their recovery location along with the year they were found . I bought a number of boxes but due to space restrictions , I only wanted a few relics from each of the locations & would like to offer the opportunity for other collectors to own a piece of what was a remarkable collection . Many time I can combined shipping on SAME DAY (Note: SAME DAY) auctions depending on the size of the items or how delicate an item is .I do not want to have to wait an extra week to be paid for an item in the following weeks listings that you may not even win . For example I can not combined items like a rally wheel & a steering column because they can not be packed together because of their sizes , or a piece of NOS trim & a steering column because of how delicate trim is. Items are only returnable if clearly not as described not because you over spent somewhere else. . I am a legal registered business in NJ . APPLICABLE SALES TAX IS COLLECTED BY EBAY.
