MEPLA ACC-162  cast zinc hinge, refurbished and in great working order. This hinge has a built-in plate that is designed for a 1/2" overlay
IMPORTANT!
This hinge has typical break points that most sellers may not even notice (ie: hairline cracks in the metal, broken pin retaining holes, broken plastic, etc...). We professionally inspect each and every hinge after cleaning... many are thrown away. We replace individual components as necessary before we call one "ready to sell". This is why ours may cost a little more.   : )
ALSO IMPORTANT!
There are two different hinges that use the
510.356.00.13 number.
This sale is for a flat top type "A" (see photo 4 above) hinge. ALSO, it is very important that your hinge has this same number (located under the plate). Mepla made many similar hinges with different overlays and different numbers. Make sure yours says ".13" , otherwise you need a different hinge. You may contact us to see if we might have what you need.
Unfortunately these older hinges are not adjustable. If they are not closing or closing by themselves they are probably broken. Don't throw yours away! The most common reasons are:
...the metal portion of the hinge is broken or cracked. Either cracks exist along the perimeter or breaks exist at the dowel posts. LOOK CLOSELY. The hinge is not rebuildable and should be replaced. These conditions exist in about 60% of this type of broken hinges.
...the plastic portion is broken. Either has sections missing or the springs inside are missing or weak. The hinge is salvageable with a new plastic/spring piece.
This condition exists in about 40% of this type of broken hinges. We have used parts.
Please be sure to look at the 10 digit number on the plate (arm) portion of the hinge (the part that attaches to the side of the cabinet). This number MUST match any ad that you purchase from or you will likely get a hinge that is the wrong overlay. ESPECIALLY NOTE THE LAST TWO DIGITS.
These Mepla ACC 162 plate arm numbers all end in one of these pairs of digits...... .06, .09, .13, .16, .25, .32, .34, .35 and .37
Quite often a number may not not be stamped completely and can't be readable. In this case, you should take off another good hinge and read that plate arm until the at least the last two digits can be discovered.
Also very important is that you understand the difference in TYPE A and TYPE B hinges. Please see the photo above to determine which type you have. Please note that the plate arms work for both types of hinges.
We generally stock the .13 and the .35, and sometimes have other sizes listed. If you are handy, you can replace the hinge arms on our hinges with your  hinge arms to maintain the correct overlay. We can do it for you for an additional per hinge, but you'll have to ship them to us at your cost (best to use a USPS First Class envelope, or the Post Office has small Flat-rate boxes for larger quantities)
