    Description

    Beautiful hand painted birds from the Stangl bird collection. Each bird is slightly different, because they were painted by different artists. Maker's mark is imprinted on the underside. The bird collection began in the 1940's, so this figurine was made sometime between the 1940's and 1978 when Stangl production closed. Stangl experimented with many different types of glazes throughout his career, and this particular glaze looks like majolica. Perfect piece for a Stangl or bird collection. Lovely pop of color to add to a vignette.
