    Description

York Minster is an Anglican cathedral in the city of York, North Yorkshire, England. The minster is the seat of the archbishop of York, the third-highest office of the Church of England, and is the mother church for the diocese of York and the province of York. It is administered by its dean and chapter.
Note: I am selling my entire collection of Mosanic Churches individually.
    Others may still be available.
This model was made by the Mosanic Pottery in Bavaria c. 1895 and distributed in the UK by Max Emanuel & Co.
Max Emanuel had a network of upscale gift shops and other locations.
He has been called the inventor of modern day travel souvenirs.
It is believed he at one point purchased the Mosanic Pottery and relocated production to the UK after the German WWI war effort took over the Bavarian factory but not much seems to be known about it.
    The model itself is 4.25” Tall x 6” W x 3.75” D.
It is made of ivory colored bisque china that has been hand assembled and finished with a brown wash.
The makers mark is on the bottom along with a mold or Batch #0312 and Registry # Rd-556287 .
The condition is very good for it age.
    Note the low production number.
