New York City 1920s Bronx Hospital Bookend Miniature Architectural Replica
For sale is a heavy lead (2 lbs. 16 oz) Bookend of the Art Deco styled
Bronx Hospital
building, built in 1928
.  It measures 5 1/2" tall on a 5 1/2" x 3" base.  The bookend was made in the late 1920s as a fund raiser for the new hospital building and given to its donors.
The back of the bookend is embossed "DONOR TO THE BUILDING FUND OF THE BRONX HOSPITAL".
The bookend is in overall very good condition considering its age; there are some surface nicks in the finish (altho some may be paint marks?), some scratches along back (see photos),
and surface marks and scratches along the base (see photos)
