Peavey Omniac - Natural, Custom Shop

Still downsizing my collection and at the point of difficulty. This is the last of 3 Omniacs that I’ve owned. It’s a very light variant (7.2 lbs) as most of these are 10 pound guitars. The Birdseye neck is gorgeous and possibly one of the best necks I’ve ever played. Alas, I prefer a more traditional wiring these days and can’t bring myself to butcher this one. It has a minor scrape on the back that I’ve pictured and a small ding in the binding that I’ve also pictured. Otherwise In great condition for a 15+ year old guitar. It comes in the factory case with case candy.
The pickups are as follows:
Bridge Pickup: SD Jerry Donahue Sig Single Coil Bridge Pickup (APTL-3JD) - custom wind and supposedly designed for extra sustain
Neck Pickup: SD Alnico Pro II (APS-2) Single Coil
This is how it’s wired:
5 - Neck single - strat neck tone.
4 - Neck single + cap - low power "woman tone" / jazz tone - think somewhere between a 335 and a SG neck on vol 7.
3 - Parallel Neck + Bridge - fullest/roundest tone, think Tele middle position tone.
2 - Neck + Bridge - Per Peavey: "with a capacitor and resistor in a controlled degree of reversed phase. This position offers the popular 'in-between quack tone' found on three-pickup guitars." - think "notched strat" of out of phase B+M pickups, with "glassy mids" tone.
1 - Bridge single - Tele twang tone.
