    Description

    An unusual looking American
    Civil War
Relic Fire Melted Camp Lead 3-Ring Bullet
    with great provenance.
This one is pretty ugly and deformed from the heat of the fire it was thrown into. Soldiers would often use cartridges as fire starters.  The rings are still faintly visible on one side of it. R
ecovered many decades ago by Civil War Relic hunter William Price, who meticulously catalogued all of his finds.
This artifact was recovered at Petersburg, Virginia and was recovered on the battlefield on private property with permission.  A provenance card with the specific information will be included.
We are Civil War relic collectors and purchased this in a large lot of identified relics recovered at Petersburg, Virginia.
All of the collections that we are offering for sale are guaranteed to be authentic and are either older recoveries, found before the 1960s when it was still legal to metal detect battlefields, or were recovered on private property with permission. Some land on Battlefields that are now Federally owned, or owned by the Trust, were acquired after the items were recovered. We will not sell any items that were recovered illegally, nor will we sell any items that we suspect were recovered illegally.
