Description
Selling this used PRS Custom 24 Artist package guitar made in the USA in 2002. The guitar is in good shape overall. There are signs of wear, with some dings and abrasions on the contour of the body, a ding on the top near the pickup switch, and a scrape near the lower horn, as well as some buckle rash on the back of the body, which I have included in the pics. There are also some dings on the top of the headstock. The frets are also showing some wear. I have not personally had any real issues with them, as they haven't caused any buzz or other problems for me, but please be aware that the guitar has definitely been played (with good reason, it rocks!), and even though it's still a very attractive instrument, it shows performance wear and tear from nearly 20 years of good use. This is one of those guitars that has plays well and has been used, and not stuck in storage. I bought it used in this kind of condition with the intention of carrying on that tradition, as I always felt comfortable handling it normally and not treating it like a museum piece. The rotary pickup switch knob was replaced by a three-way switch, and the volume and tone knobs are now push-pull for splitting the humbuckers.
Included in the sale of the guitar is the original hardshell case in good shape (with a sticker on one side of it that was placed on it by a previous owner), some case candy, the original electronics, and two vibrato bars (one gold and one chrome).
This guitar is a beauty in sound, looks, and feel. Seriously, I've played this guitar a lot and I think it's great. This is the first PRS guitar that I've owned and I plan to replace this one with another slightly less expensive PRS instrument. My reason for selling is that I need some money, and while I'd like to keep this particular guitar, I'm hoping to find a similar PRS without the fancy artist grade features so that I can retain the sound and feel of this instrument without having quite as much invested in it.
As with many used guitars, you might prefer a nice setup to your specifications, but it is a nice instrument and can very much be played as is, which is how I've been happily playing it.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
