Description
QUAHOG CLAM SHELL WITH OYSTER SHELLS ATTACHED Seashells Nautical Decor BeachThis unusual find is intriguing. The oysters are attached to a Quahog Clam (Chowder Clam) Shell. Oysters and clams are both bivalves and filter feeders but there is one clear difference. Clams can move around and they bury themselves in the sand and mud. Oysters are sedentary and attach to another shell, creating an "oyster reef or oyster bed" when left alone, and nature takes its course. This is a great piece to add to your collection. Can also be used for nick nacks or for nautical and home decor projects.
