R&B BLUES NEWS PHOTO: DEE CLARK & BIG MAYBELLE backstage in Harlem, 1960 (REPRO)
This is a reproduction from a page of the November 19, 1960, St. Louis Argus newspaper. Caption: "SINGER DEE CLARK gets a big laugh from 250 pound blues singer Big Maybelle Smith who hams it up for the cameraman backstage at Harlem's Rockland Palace ballroom when they appeared there. At the same time Clark was awarded a plaque by the Palmer-Model for being the Best-Dressed Male Performer of '60."
(As a reproduction from a newspaper page, this print does not have the same sharpness  the original photo would have had.)
