Description
Dug Dropped (Unfired) Civil War .46 Caliber Swiss Chauser or Dimmick Bullet.This type bullet is found in the camps of 66th Illinois Infantry or "Birge's Western Sharpshooters".
Each Dimmick rifle had its own bullet mold for each rifle of different calibers.
Only found in early war Western Theater camps. By 1863 the regiment was rearming with Henry Repeating Rifles.
Measures .51 inches in diameter and .987 inches in length.
