    Description

Rare, one of a kind vintage handmade architectural replica of the Lake Alfred Citrus Growers Association Building, a packing house originally built in 1921 at the height of Florida's citrus boom.
This folk art architectural model is made of a very hard ceramic material hand painted in yellow, white, grey and brown. The inside is open suggesting this might have been made as a tray or storage crate. There are no makers marks on it.
It measures 5" tall by 14" wide by 14" deep, and weighs over 8 lbs.
The real building was designated a historical site in Lake Alfred, the heart of Florida's citrus growing industry, as a rare example of a masonry vernacular citrus packing plant. You won't find another, so get this unusual building replica with your winning bid.
