Description
For sale is a vintage 1960's gold plastic still bank in the shape of the Rochester Savings Bank in Rochester, New York.The historic bank was designed by McKim, Mead and White in 1927 and today is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
This souvenir bank was made in the 1960's as a promotional item.

It is made of hard plastic in a dark gold color and stands 3" tall by 4" long and 4.5" wide.
The front reads "ROCHESTER SAVINGS BANK" above the large arched doorway.
The coin slot is on the roof at the rear.
There is a round twist trap is on the back side which reads "ROCHESTER SAVINGS BANK - 40 Franklin Street - Rochester, N.Y. - 47 Main Street West - Founded 1831 - Member of Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation".
The inside of the trap reads "Made by Ontario Plastics Inc."
This is a great old building bank of a historic architectural landmark.
The bank is in very good to excellent used condition.
It rests flat and shows no signs of any warping which is sometimes seen in these older plastic banks.
