    Description

    These solid BRASS Push Plates were from San Francisco's building 'Concordia Argonaut Club' . These brass plates actually were made by Yardley or Yates in 1920's.
    Concordia Argonaut Club was founded in 1864 by a group of German American Jews led by
    LEVI STRAUSS
    , the Concordia moved into its own building on Van Ness (located at 1142 Van Ness) in 1891. That structure was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake, and the present building was completed three years later, complete with library, bar, pool and, later, regulation-size basketball court.
