Description
For sale is a vintage promotional, metal souvenir building replica of the Second Ward Savings Bank, Milwaukee, WI. built by the architectural firm of Kirchoff & Rose, in 1913.Since 1965 it has served as the headquarters of the Milwaukee County Historical Society.
Note:
It is
NOT the variety recast in the 1990s for the Souvenir Building Collectors Society, but the
original
advertising savings bank
cast by Rehberger in the 1920s.

Along the bottom base it reads "Safe Deposit Vaults", "Investments", "Savings"; on the top of the model it reads, "Put your money in the Second ward Savings Bank, The Bank of Personal Service in Milwaukee."
Measures 3 1/4" X 4 1/4" X 2 1/4" high and is excellent condition -- do note however, a very minor ding on the side reading "Savings", right below the final "S". See photo. When displayed it is hardly noticeable.
It has an intact trap (no key).
