    Description

These are a collection of three high quality antique, Architecturally Significant Building Facades made in England.
Two are made of cast iron that has been bronzed and one is solid bronze.
The workmanship on each is very good.
The details are sharp and the finishes are wonderful.
I consider these to be the space savers in my architectural collection because I use them to backstop my shelves, and I am able to fit a lot of buildings in a very small footprint.
Each of these is considered to be a presentation of historical British Architecture.
Together they make an interesting visual grouping of historical English homes and manors.
    Shakespeare’s Birthplace.
William’s father John lived and worked in the house known today as Shakespeare’s Birthplace. John married Mary Arden in about 1557 and William was born in 1564.
It was because of his father’s status as Mayor that William was privileged enough to have attended the local school to begin his education.
In 1582, at the age of 18, William married Anne Hathaway. The young couple continued to live with his parents in the Birthplace. It is where their own children were born.
The end is a nicely detailed iron casting with an oiled bronze patina.
The Cook family cottage was located in Yorkshire, England and is the ancestral family home of Captain James Cook of the infamous Bounty.
Cook is known for his discovery of the Polynesian islands as well as other explorations throughout the pacific.
This end is cast is solid bronze.
Stanley Palace was built in the 1500’s for the Earls of Derby.
This end depicts the portion that remains today and is a wonderful iron casting with some of the most intricate detail possible in that medium.
The history on the home in inscribed on the back and it is numbered and marked “England”
Each measures about 5” wide by 2.25” deep, by 4” tall.
The three together are almost 9 pounds.
