    Description

    Found in a Massachusetts Militia campsite in Brandy Station, Va. ; dug by me on private property with permission. This bullet has not been cleaned.   This is a 3 piece bullet invented by  Reuben Shaler, patented 8/12/1862; intended design was to compensate for errors in estimating range, and other variables, by providing a greater vertical spread of impact points.
