Stangl Cosmos #3413 Vase Wall Pocket 7.5" Caribbean Color Hand-Painted RARE ITEM

Offered for sale is a very unusual piece by Stangl.  This is 7 1/2" Vase or Wall Pocket in the "Cosmos" pattern.  This pattern was initiated in 1937.  The color of this piece is unusual - it is signed "Caribbean" on the bottom of the piece.  The name "Caribbean" refers to the blue and green mottled colors on this unusual piece.  This vase is done in the shape of a large flower (sunflower?) and both sides are the same.  This vase stands between 7 1/2 and 7 3/4 inches tall.  The bottom of the piece is incised with the words Stangl - USA - 3413.  There is also a round stamp in a brown color reading:  Hand Painted - Stangl - R - Trenton, NJ - Caribbean c 5134 or 5434.  I found this pattern / shape in the book "Stangl Pottery" by Harvey Duke (copyright 1993).  This is a beautiful piece of Stangl Art Pottery in striking and unusual colors.  The condition is very good with one small crack shown in the last photo - it looks like something that was done in the mold.  The crack extends almost 2 inches from the initial separation.  It is difficult to see due to the colors but you can feel it with your fingernail olook under a bright light.  Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  You will fall in love with this piece in an unusual color combination.
