    Description

    Stangl Pottery in Trenton NJ (1930-78) is probably best-known for its numerous brightly colored bird figurines ca 1930-40s.
    Early in their production, they made some simple animal figurines, usually in white & black or in solid pastel colors.
    This quirky little terrier or Scottie dog figurine is 3-3/4 inches tall & 1-1/2 inches wide & is in white glaze with minimal hand-painted detailing in black glaze.  These were very small & so difficult to put the Stangl inkstamp on the bottom, but this piece is shown in Stangl books.  It is in very good vintage condition - no chips, hairlines, or crazing.  Ships USPS.
