    Description

The Atomium is a landmark building in Brussels, originally constructed for the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair. It is located on the HeyselPlateau in Laeken, where the exhibition took place. It is now a museum.  Designed by the engineer André Waterkeyn and architects André and Jean Polak,it stands 102 metres tall. It is hard to believe this is an actual occupied building.
This model measures 4” x 4” x 5” tall including the marble base.
You can find it referenced on page 28 of the Replica Buildings book, and plate 713 of MM.
This is in very good vintage condition.
