Presented here is a 300 mm x 7 mm Thistle Tube or long stem funnel.
This specialized funnel is not intended to be used for filtration.  Rather, it is for the direct introduction through a stopper of substances into a flask.  The stem is normally below the surface of a solution such as is done in the  generation of a gas by water displacement in a pnuematic trough.
It is also frequently utilized in osmosis demonstrations in conjunction with permeable membranes.
