Timothy Richards is renowned for making the finest architectural models, made in the traditions of the historical modelmakers.
His are Architectural Models, handmade in hard English Plaster and finishes into what has become recognized as high art.
While Mr. Richards does produce limited public offerings, his forte is in creating Historical Architectural models with exacting scale and detail for Museums, Libraries, and Commercial Enterprises. This replica of #10 Downing Street the home of the United Kingdom’s Prime Ministers.
This is one of the series of existing house houses.
Many of the properties do belong to famous historical figure and they all are classic representatives of an architectural style.

This terrace house is typical of the houses in Bath.
Elegant, adaptable and handsome.
It is faced with Bath stone in the form of smooth blocks called ‘ashlar’.
The Palladian terrace house (after Andrea Palladio) has different sizes of windows.
The house proportions have been adapted from ‘Palladian’ proportions after the Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio (1508 -1580).
The whole scheme is classical and with no obvious decoration.
What decoration there are relates directly to the form and function of the building e.g. the small ‘peditinent’ as in a pitched
temple roof forms a convenient shelter over the front door.
It is still available but at a higher premium than is offered here.
This model measures 3.75” wide X 2.5” deep X 7.75” tall, and is made of hand carved hard English plaster.
