    Description

This is a printed copy of the Golden Gate Bridge dedication address given by Francis. B. Keesling at the Redwood Theatre at Crissy Field, San Francisco, on May 28, 1937, honoring the opening of the famous bridge.  The pamphlet is 5.5" x 8.5" and is 16pp not counting the cover.  It has a nice drawing of the bridge on the inside and the text of the dedication speech, which I must confess is somewhat long winded--see the illustrations.  Mr. Keesling apparently was a prominent lawyer in San Francisco who played an important role in connection with the approval and construction of the bridge.  I assume these pamphlets were handed out at the dedication and possibly made available to others in connection with the opening of the bridge.  I acquired a small batch of these pamphlets that are in like-new condition and appear never to have been handed out or used.  Nice item for collectors of Golden Gate Bridge or San Francisco memorabilia.  See illustrations.
INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE:  Unfortunately international rates have skyrocketed with the last few rounds of post office rate increases. This is beyond my control.  I welcome international bids and will happily ship anywhere in the world, but international bidders need to be aware of the following conditions and limitations: Normally I ship via regular uninsured first class mail because it is the least expensive and often the only realistic method of international shipment for less expensive items. Although my track record with international shipments is excellent, I CANNOT GUARANTEE THE RELIABILITY OF THE WORLD'S POSTAL SERVICES, AND WILL NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOST OR DELAYED UNINSURED INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS, BY BIDDING IN MY AUCTIONS OR PURCHASING SET SALE ITEMS FROM ME, YOU AGREE TO ASSUME THE RISK OF LOSS OR DELAY OF UNINSURED SHIPMENTS. Depending on the item and the international destination, I may be able to ship by a more secure method, in some cases including insurance, but this usually is very expensive, and may not be practical for many lower value items. Furthermore, under postal limitations, postal insurance is unavailable for shipments to some countries and for some methods of shipment in all cases. YOUR BID CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONDITIONS. Please contact me if you have questions about available shipping options for an item. Thanks, and I hope that this will not discourage you from bidding as I greatly value my international customers and have an excellent track record with international shipments.
