Vintage Wisconsin State Capitol, Madison WI Souvenir Building Paperweight (1948)

Description

For sale is a rare, vintage 1948 souvenir building replica model of the Wisconsin State Capitol. Compare Monumental Miniatures # 1281.
It is made of off-white plaster or chalkware and measures: 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 2 7/8 to the tip of the intact dome. Later versions were made of resin.
Overall it is in very good used condition with only a few small nicks around the dome and hardly visible -- see photos.
According to my research these were made by veterans at the The Grand Army Home for Veterans, in King, Wisconsin.
