The only other two Edwards ES-175 copies on eBay at the moment are selling for more than K. Original PAFs made by Virgil Arlo sell for over ,000. We are starting the auction at a fraction of that amount.
We previously listed this for sale but the winning bidder didn't have the funds to cover his winning bid. His loss is your gain. Don't miss this one, players that know guitars will tell you that these MIJ Edwards ES-175 & 335 copies are easily on par with USA made examples of the same style guitar. This guitar weighs in at less than 6.9 pounds & its very resonant. Frets have very little wear, like almost zero.
We'd probably make more if we should the pickups and guitar separately but this guitar is so perfect, it would be a crime to remove the pickups.
The guitar is really well made and plays great. You can set the action extremely low without getting fret buzz. There are a few scratches that we've tried to capture in the photos. There is an imperfection on the front in the binding and the finish is pixelated and scratched in that area. On the back there is a finish crack near the edge of the guitar but the wood is solid. The headstock has a couple of dings that are pretty hard to see but the camera caught this imperfection very well. None of these dings are really noticeable at more than a few feet back and the guitar is completely solid. We've seen Gibson's with far worse binding but wanted to point this issue out, look for the photos with the screw driver pointing at the issues.
